Frequently Asked Questions

Oryx is a bounty platform that connects developers with sponsored challenges. Competing teams complete milestones, prove their work, and earn rewards from locked funds.

  • 1. A bounty sponsor (e.g., Lisk) creates a bounty and locks the reward into a secure escrow.
  • 2. Participants or teams interested in the bounty apply by staking USDT on the Lisk network. This ensures commitment and filters out unserious entries.
  • 3. They work on the task and submit their deliverables (on-chain or off-chain) for verification by validators.
  • 4. All valid submissions are scored and the highest-scoring participants or teams are awarded the bounty reward.

Any project, protocol, or sponsor can create a bounty, provided they fund the rewards upfront and follow Oryx's transparent judging criteria.

Anyone can apply, provided they meet the staking requirements and submit proof of work according to the bounty rules.

Staking ensures only serious people participate, preventing spam and low-effort submissions. Tokens are refunded if the participant actively competes and meets minimum requirements.

If a team fails to meet the minimum score, their staked tokens are forfeited. This prevents teams from signing up without intent to deliver.

Teams are required for technical bounties, and each team must register a multisig wallet for fairness and security in fund distribution.

Participants are required to provide clear evidence of their progress and results. For technical bounties, this may include CSV files for on-chain proof (e.g., transactions, contract deployments) and links to relevant repositories or commits. For non-technical bounties, this may include web links or files showing off-chain proof such as content, user traction, reports, or other deliverables.

Independent validators, bounty sponsors, or an automated smart contract system will review and approve submissions based on pre-set criteria.

No. Once the deadline expires, the bounty is locked, and only verified submissions count toward rewards.

  • The top-scoring teams or participants claims the reward.
  • Funds are released only to the registered wallet addresses.

The sponsor can either extend the deadline, refund the bounty, or allocate partial rewards at their discretion.

Payouts are instant upon final validation and are executed via smart contract.

  • Escrow protection: Funds are locked until verified work is completed.
  • On-chain & off-chain validation: CSV files must follow a standard format for easy verification.
  • Transparent judging criteria: Every bounty has clear, measurable metrics to ensure fairness.

A dispute resolution process will involve community voting, sponsor intervention, or validator arbitration.

Funds are locked in audited smart contracts or external multisig wallets, reducing the risk of exploits.
